The Winston-Salem Transit Authority is proud to present Accessible Festival 2015, Friday, July 10 from 9am – 3pm now in its 11th year, Accessible Festival is a day of fun, fellowship, and entertainment for individuals with disabilities and their families. The festival is heading back to where it all began…the Fairground. We have changed our format this year because we wanted to be responsive to the concerns that we were not focusing enough on the disability community. Therefore, we have moved our location to the Education Building at the fairgrounds. We plan on having a day of fun because for the first time we will all be inside…no outside tents. We will have a beach theme, so everyone can come dressed in their best beach gear, and we have lots of fun in store for our visitors.
The festival will begin Friday morning with exhibitors, entertainment, arts & crafts, and lots of activities. WSTA is also providing a photo booth with all the great props to go along with it. You can commemorate the day by taking pictures with your staff, and take the photos with you! Naturally, we will be uploading our photos to our company Facebook page. Our DJ, Captain Jim, will be spinning his wheels of steel for a dance contest like no other. We also have scheduled his awesome magic show and a karaoke contest too.
