The Public Assembly Facilities of the City of Winston-Salem, including The Winston-Salem Fairgrounds and Annex and Bowman Gray Stadium is preparing for all scenarios of the potential impact of the coronavirus, specifically COVID-19, for our events, guests, clients, and employees.
We internally have developed a COVID-19 task force to look at key areas that impact our clients, guests, and employees and will implement best practices out of this.

The safety of our guests, clients, performers, and employees is our top priority and we will make thoughtful decisions in collaboration with the City of Winston-Salem as the situation continues to develop. We like many other in our industry believe that all decisions related to producing events should be rooted in facts, not fear, and that we will work closely with the local Health Department and City/County Emergency Management through this time.

At this time based on the statement from Governor Roy Cooper and Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines we are cancelling any public events with over 100 attendees for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Events and activities in this time frame that are notably being canceled are the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Farmers Market, Public Ice Skating at the Annex Ice Rink, and Carolina Thunderbirds Hockey.

The Fairgrounds and Annex Box Office will also close during this time.
For questions regarding Fairgrounds events please visit our website or call 336.727.2236

For questions on Carolina Thunderbirds hockey please call 336.774.(GOAL)4625.

During the next two week time frame we will significantly increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in all indoor public areas, and we have added alcohol-based sanitizer dispensers for public use throughout indoor public spaces. We will remain vigilant, and we are prepared to make decisions based on current and future recommendations, as well as in the response to ever changing conditions.
