The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission’s National Archery in Schools (NASP) state tournament will occur on Feb. 14­–15 in the Education Building at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds.

Approximately 800 students from 32 schools , including Elementary, Middle School and High School divisions, will compete for the title of North Carolina State Champion. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female individual archers, and to the top-scoring team in each division.

Elementary schools will participate on Friday, Feb. 14 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Middle and high schools are scheduled to take aim beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The National Archery in Schools Program teaches and promotes international-style target archery as part of an in-school curriculum to improve educational performance and participation in the shooting sports among students in grades 4-12.
