Fairgrounds Participats in #WeMakeEvents Campaign
The devastating events of the COVID19 pandemic have affected those near & far in the world. as well as in the entertainment industry. #RedAlertRESTART is raising awareness to jump-start relief for the live events industry. On Tuesday September 1st, venues across the country and in the triad participated in the campaign by having their venues embezzled with red lights to help spread awareness. There are 12 million people who are employed by the live event industry and we support them during these times.
Buildings at the fairgrounds that were highlighted from 9pm to midnight on Tuesday included the Neil Bolton Home & Garden Building, Cattle Barn, Administration Office and the Annex. A list of venues that also participated in the campaign were the Milton Rhodes Center for Arts, NC Black Rep, The Ramkat, The Millennium Center, Winston-Salem Dash, Kimpton Cardinal Hotel and many more.
