Events in Winston-Salem: July 2022 Events at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds

To finish off July at Winston-Salem’s Home for Entertainment we have a variety of events for you to attend and enjoy, including a concert, a 5k, and another Fairground Friday

Starting off on July 16th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm there is the Cook Medical Beat the Heat 5k at the Innergrounds and Midway. Beat the Heat has been one of the most popular races in North Carolina for more than 30 years!. It has been selected multiple times by Endurance Magazine as the best 5K in Triad NC and was featured in Running Journal magazine as the #1 “Under the Radar” race in the South. Beat the Heat is a charity event with proceeds going to local non-profits that support health and fitness in the community.

Also on July 16th at 7:00 pm, the Fairgrounds is lucky to host Mother’s Finest with Shoot to Thrill and special guest Wafer Thin at the Annex.  Purchase your tickets here; parking will be at the Coliseum Lot off Deacon Blvd, the cost of which is $10 cash.

Mothers Finest has always been a band impossible to force into artificially-labelled boxes.  One of the most energetic and charismatic groups to cut a swath through the music industry, Mothers Finest defies boundaries and creates its own genre.

Shoot To Thrill is an all FEMAL AC/DC Tribute band, not only are the girls professional musicians with impeccable skills, they are also quite easy on the eyes and full of energy for an energetic stage show!  http://www.shoot2thrillband.com/

Wafer Thin creates original Rock and Roll band based in Winston-Salem. Wafer Thin writes melodic and upbeat songs that capture their own unique sound and personality at the same time paying homage to rock and roll from the 70’s through the modern era.

To finish off July, we have another Fairground Friday presented by City of Winston-Salem Recreation & Parks on the 22nd from 7:00-10:00 pm at the Education Building. Music, games, prizes, and more!
