National Acts take the stage at the Arena Theatre: Upcoming Concerts in Winston-Salem

Over 2,000 seats, every concert food & beverage option imaginable, and memories made to last.

That’s what you can expect at the Annex Theatre on any given Friday or Saturday night throughout the summer.

The Indoor Concert Series at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds has brought the likes of big names in music like Charlie Wilson, Aaron Tippin, Ricky Skaggs and more this summer. Bringing live music to Winston-Salem is our forte – the best part is that there’s still more to come!

Various concerts and entertainment events have been hosted in the Annex Theatre. The Annex’s resume includes hosting Bob Dylan on two occasions, in 1991 & 2002, Wiz Khalifa in 2011, Tiesto in 2010, TNA Wrestling, and Swan Lake in 2014 to name a few. The venue is also used year-round for trade shows, company functions, high school graduations, public relations events, and much more.

July 16th: Mother’s Finest w/ Shoot to Thrill and Special Guest Water Thin

Mothers Finest has always been a band impossible to force into artificially-labelled boxes.  One of the most energetic and charismatic groups to cut a swath through the music industry, Mothers Finest defies boundaries and creates its own genre.

Shoot To Thrill is an all-female AC/DC Tribute band, not only are the girls professional musicians with impeccable skills, they are also quite easy on the eyes and full of energy for an energetic stage show!  http://www.shoot2thrillband.com/

Wafer Thin creates an original Rock and Roll band based in Winston-Salem. Wafer Thin writes melodic and upbeat songs that capture their own unique sound and personality at the same time while paying homage to rock and roll from the 70’s through the modern era.

August 26th: Little Texas w/ Crawford & Power

Little Texas has sold over 7 million of their albums, while critics showered them with 3 Grammy nominations plus honors from both the Academy of Country Music (Vocal Group Of The Year) and the Country Music Association (Album Of The Year).

Virginia natives Crawford & Power are making waves within the country music scene with their unique sound. Authentically southern, Jake Crawford’s powerful vocal blended with a modern approach to the Dobro from Ethan Power, creates a brand of country that has been lauded as a breath of fresh air to the genre.

The duo has already opened for a variety of artists including The Marshall Tucker Band, Willie Nelson, Travis Tritt, The Charlie Daniels Band, Cody Johnson, Luke Combs, 38 Special, Gary Allan, and Jerry Douglas, among many other major acts.

August 27th: The BB King Experience featuring Kenny Neal & Claudette King

THE ONLY Legacy of BB King Tour!  The B.B. King Estate is launching a new B.B. King Legacy Initiative designed to both preserve the iconic name of BB King as well as introduce his wealth of music to new audiences and generations around the world.

If you want to experience the “Real Deal”, take time out to find Kenny Neal. One of the strongest modern proponents of Baton Rouge swamp blues, Kenny Neal is a second-generation southern Louisiana bluesman who is cognizant of the region’s venerable blues tradition and imaginative enough to steer it in fresh directions.
